Access Forward Gaming Lounge
With its debut at PAX East 2025, the Access Forward Gaming Lounge became our newest program for community outreach. By meeting gamers where they are at conventions we are able to provide accessibility for tabletop games with both broad and specialized support. From simply providing a safe space for players to request access accommodations without fear of being judged or asked to leave the table to accessible adaptations of games, we strive to provide a space that can meet the needs of any attendee.
Along with our partners at Open the Gates Gaming we have taken what we learned at East and continued to expand. PAX Unplugged offers nearly 50 individual gaming sessions for all ages across tabletop roleplaying games and trading card games. We have an Accessible Games Library with specialized dice, adaptive tools, and different games with various accessibility features all available to borrow. Additionally, we have set up a variety of adaptable tools and inclusive TTRPG setups to be used during scheduled games for new players and veteran adventurers alike. From games that tell disabled stories to disabled-friendly games that support different access needs, the Access Forward Gaming Lounge is open to anyone who wants to play!
